I'm back! After a much extended 'break' from blogging I have returned to once again post my thoughts on this here information superhighway. Far too much has happened in the intervening months during my stay here in Kyoto, so instead of attempting to catch all of my eight readers up on my life I will just continue like nothing happened.
Random thought that I must put in is that as I am writing this I am listening to one of the radio stations on Itunes and the song is about having the sweetest ass in the world. Surprisingly catchy for such lame lyrics, but it is a dance song so they don't tend to have mind blowing lyrics anyway.

I have also decided that elderly people should be barred from operating any form of transportation whether it be self powered or otherwise. Perhaps those walkers some of them use are acceptable, but any faster mode of transportation should be made illegal. This coming mainly from my daily experiences with old Japanese people on their bicycles doing their very best to get in my way at the most inopportune moments as I bike around the city. Most especially when I am biking my way to school and am therefore on a strict time limit. I do take some pleasure in the fact that often when I pass them they are unaware of my approach so many a time I hear a sharp intake of breath on usually associates with people on roller coasters. No on has crashed as of yet, but I am sure it is only a matter of time until that happens.
Anyway here are some random pictures of my new friends and such...

Wow- here I am feeling very sad that Joey is leaving this morning and I do my daily "blog check" and here is a post from another "far away child"! Made my day!! I am glad that you are back- have missed this very much. I hope you have a helmet on as you are cruising by those old people, just in case they have a heart attack and veer into your path. What is with the date on the pictures- are they current or from 2007? Remember that I am technically challenged, so just wondering if they are friends from Osaka or new ones from Kyoto. I just can't tell you how glad I am that you are blogging again. And since the vote thing won't work for me - I am reading this because I love you and miss you and like the way you write. And the fact that I am your mother does not bias me at all!
When it comes to attributes on the bike I'm not sure that you're the one who should be talking - I remember a certain boy walking his bike over large rocks and mounds of grass and very vividly remember the injuries inflicted after he ran his bike into my knee - the lawsuit is still in the works.

i like the pictures (especially the one with all of the orange arches). glad to see you have finally started writing again although i'm not surprised your thoughts go no deeper than dance music lyrics...you always were kind of slow. don't kill any old japanese people-i don't think they'd take kindly to that. love you and talk to you soon.

I'm glad to hear you're alive, i was starting to wonder if Ayuko finally realized you were a monkey and sold you to the zoo! haha I like the pictures, keep them coming. I miss you lots and love you infinity times infinity!
Guys pull over and let this old lady go by!
On the bike paths here (USofA) we use bells that make a cute jingly noise to let people know you're behind them - or we say "on your left" so that they can move it on over...I'll mail you a bell along with sparkly things to hang from your handle bars so that they'll know you're a well-mannered man over there :)
